But it doesnt appeard in my Apple home app.
How to transfer those button to Apple Home?
Hi colvins, welcome to the forums!
Have you installed https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/homekit/ ?
yes
i have installed homekit.
And in which way it is configured? Do you expose the lights to Homekit you want to see in the app?
I am using a Xiaomi IR to remote my old lights.
No, I mean, what have you configured in the homekit integration?
You have to add them to the homekit.yaml file
I didn’t configured anything.
Ok, when you say you have installed the Homekit integration, you have to configure it for your needs. This can be done on the integration page (settings → integrations) or via yaml file as BertrumUK mentioned.
The remote can be found in the Home app,but the button which i add in the lovelace still can’t be found.
I assumed that a real light entity exists. When the controlled lights are dumb I’m not aware of a way to expose more than the remote control in Homekit.
Thank you very much.
So there is no way to add those buttons to Apple home?
Why not make them a script in HA? And make sure to add this script to the HomeKit entities.
Or use a template switch/light.
Yes,I made them in script and it does worked.
Thank you very much!
Today’s video, I’m going to show you how to set up and configure Lovelace on Home … Create Your Own Apple HomeKit Enabled Projects Using The Raspberry Pi.
