How to Add Philips Zigbee IP Bridge

I got myself a Philips Zigbee IP Bridge (the round one, v1?), connected, and from the router’s admin it’s succesfully got an IP via DHCP. Browsing to the said IP brings me to this…

However, when I try to add it to HA it keeps saying “unable to discover Hue bridges”.

What have I done wrong and what should I do?

Thanks a lot.

Cheers.

FWIW, I’m finding a way to integrate an Zigbee IR remote to control home appliances… the Philips bridge was a gift so, in case it’s not workable, I can always get a proper USB Zipbee dongle?

Cheers.

According to this link, the v1 is still supported by HA, but is “end-of-life” and not supported by Hue themselves.

How do you have HA installed and on what machine? …eg: HA container in docker on a Pi or HAOS on a Pi…

HAOS on armbian

Just wondering, the Philips bridge will only connect to lights but not other devices, right? If so I’m probably out of luck and need to find a proper bridge…

Cheers.

Oh BTW I’ve successfully added the bridge to HA. It’s a silly mistake of mine unrelated to the bridge.

My v2 connects to all the Phillips Hue devices, but I no linger use it in favour of a Sonoff Zigbee 3.0 Dongle-P stick and Zigbee2MQTT/Mosquitto. The advantage is that I can connect many more devices with it over a single Zigbee network. …it’s cheaper than getting a v2 as well.

Thanks a lot!

It seems the Philips bridges are too limiting in the case of HA for the price they’re being sold…

Cheers.
