How to add Xiaomi Wifi Plug cuco.plug.v3

Hi, I just bought the Xiaomi wifi smart plug (cuco.plug.v3). I have tried the “Xiaomi Miio”, “Xiaomi MIoT” and the “Xiaomi Smart WiFi Sockets and Power Strips” integrations to get this added. The closest that I get is getting it added but then the device is unresponsive. Even when this is added to Alexa, it is showing as unresponsive. I should say that it does work via the Mi Home app. Has anyone had any success with this?

Update: I managed to get this working using the Xiaomi Miot Auto Hacs integration.

Thanks, worked for me

Hi Ben_Iffland, how are you?
Question: I managed to integrate the “Xiaomi Mi Smart Plug 2” (Xiaomi Smart Plug 2 Wi Fi) that in HA appears as “cuco.plug.v2eur” using Xiaomi Miot Auto, but the sensor that records the consumption (Power Consumption) does not work. In your case, the cuco.plug.v3 gives you back the power consumption? if yes, did you make any extra configuration? Thank you very much. Thank you very much.

Hi, I do see a power consumption but don’t think I did anything extra to get it.

I see exactly the same in my installation, the Power Consumption value is always zero, so it would not be working. I will keep checking or we will have to wait for future updates of the plug-in to fix this. Thanks Ben for taking the time to check it out.
Regards.

Hey Ismondo, have you got any update on solving this issue? I’ve got exactly the same problem with my device Xiaomi Smart Plug 2 Wi Fi (cuco.plug.v2eur). Everything works fine except Power Consumption. Value is zero.
Regards

can you elaborate the solution a little more? I am having the same problem but I don’t found that integration, how you get it?

Search for xiaomi in integrations. When you select it you should see further xiaomi options under there. If yiu dont, it must be a hacs custom integration. Just Google xiaomi xiiot and you should find the Github page with instructions.
