Let me start by saying I am not sure if this is possible, but would like to see. I have a Hot Springs hot tub. It has remote access through a client. That client talks to the digi api server using an XBee Gateway. I can login to the gateway and I can see all the values in a log file format. So in order to feed some of this info into HA and ultimately Influxdb, I could grab the latest log file every hour parse it and add the new entries to MQTT. An easier method might be to just grab the events from the Zigbee network. I am not an expert in Zigbee so not even sure that is possible, but I do have the Extended PAN ID and Scan Channel info.
Will that allow me to just sniff the zigbee traffic? I don’t want to change my gateway, I just want to read the stream and push it through mqtt. Thanks
Why do you need to have it connected to it’s proprietary gateway at all? If you can connect to z2m you can do all your pool automation in home assistant.
That is assuming I can get everything working. I haven’t dug under the covers of the hot tub to see how I can get it to re-associate with my network. I just know the Digi box it is sending to.
Did you ever get this working? I have a hot tub that uses digi gateway. Would be nice to have it integrated with HA instead of having to rely on another mobile app
