How to change name all entities of a device

Hi all,

Before, when I changed the name of a device, it would asked me if I wanted to change the names of all entities of this device to the same name.

I don’t know when it changed, but now I don’t get this pop-up asking me to change all the entity names. I have to change the names now all manually one by one.

Is there a new way or option that is off that I missed?

Remove device and readd with correct name.

When I add a new Z-Wave device it doesn’t ask me to change the name, it just adds a new device.

Interestingly I found “recreate entity ids” today

I’m thinking that you can name device and use that to recreate all its entities with updated naming.

I use zwavejsui so it allows add name/location when add device
OR
You may name device in zwavejsui then “reload” the integration to force HA to update the naming

Recreate entity ids May he path for you if the zwavejsui options above won’t work for you

I believe when you press “recreate entity id’s” it will change the names back to the default names, so you can’t choose the name yourself…
