How to change Zwave devices configuration from Long Range to Mesh

Hello,
I set up a dozen Zwave devices in Home Assistant as long range.
How can I change them to Mesh instead?
Does it require deleting them then adding them back in? This would mean I’d lose them from scenes and automations, or is there a better way to do so?

Well if you used entity_id and not device_id, just name them exactly the same when you get them back and do it before you restart HA. Everything will work. Even the history data.
