Hello guys:
I am trying to config in HA when I press LH button of my Aqara D1 wireless device the room light decreases continuously until button is released. The same for RH button to Dim up the light.
I only could config that each time I press a button, the brightness is increased or decreased, but not while button is hold pressed.
Can you help me to do this please??
Thanks in advance

I was looking for the same thing a while ago.
This video (case 2) taught me everything I needed using a restarting automation.
First things first. Check what events your D1 switch sends.
Most Aqara switches don’t have a hold event, but I seem to remember reading that the wireless versions have a setting to enable this, at least in the Aqara app.
Secondly, even once you’ve passed the above hurdle, you’ll also need to check if the switch sends a release event. Without it, the bulb won’t know when to stop dimming and you’ll have to limit yourself to fixed dimming percentages.
Thanks. Prior my post I followed that tutorial, but it is different the layout and I cannot confine the second part of the tutorial ( part which I am looking).
Thanks for your reply.
I use Aqara wireless switch. It has single and double click and also hold press. But I cannot see anything about release button event.
I don’t know if it can be done with HA or with Node RED
Like I said earlier, without the release event, you’ll be limited to predefined dim percentage steps. It will be a bit clunky, but it should still work.
Should be easy enough to do in an HA automation using something like 25% brightness increase on each hold event. This means you’ll have to press hold 3x to go from 0% brightness to 75% brightness, but it’s better than nothing.
