Hope you all had a good break. Can someone give me a hand on how do I make the wiring for this water valve (see pictures) with a shelly 1 or shelly 2.5?
The idea is that I have the option to open and close the valve.
First is it AC or DC? Voltages?
If AC (although looks like DC), your hot (it really doesn’t matter on this end) would connect to the output (o) on the shelly. Connect neutrals together (from valve and power in) and run a lead to the (n) on shelly. Connect incoming hot to shelly (l).
If it is DC, then it is similar but the operating voltages may not be directly compatible. Need for info.
Are there any buttons or switches on the device (I don’t think so, but making sure)?
Get a 9V battery and do some testing. Connect the leads to the battery and see if it moves, swap leads and see if it continues in same direction or operates in the other direction. Make note of which wires on positive and negative cause opening and closing operation.
I don’t think you will be able to do it with a single shelly 1, a shelly 2.5 I think we can make work but need more info.
Do you have a 24Vdc power supply? Do you have any other relays?
We can get the shelly to operate on 24Vdc.
I suspect that direction of operation depends on positive/negative connection.
Does the valve only electrically move in one direction or both?
