Hello,
Before I was using a GAS powered boiler to heat my home, my zonecontrol is fully configured in home assistant.
Last week I had a heatpump installed and connected to home assistant as well.
As I only enabled my old boiler when heating was required, for a heatpump some stuff is different.
The lifetime depends on the amount of on/off cycles so those should be as limiteted as possible,
Now the heatpump ifself has settings for that as minimum run time and gradations in water temperature, which of course I can use.
but when no heat is demanded, all my valves are closed, which probably will cause flow issues. I have a 40L buffer tank on the cold water line.
How would I handle this, should I make sure that at least always 1 valve is open when the heatpump is running in standby mode?
and if my buffertank is to small I can always open an aditional valve for some room.
But what is best practice here? or does someone have any advice on this?
