How does one initialize devices already paired with the controller when reinstalling HASS (or switching from another software). I am not planning on re-including every z-wave device I have, so I hope there is another way.
OpenZwave should poll the controller and repopulate the ZwcfgXXX.xml file when Hass is started up…
Yes, I did a soft reset and waited 15 minutes and now everything works. I just needed some patience

After the first run you will see the devices in HA with empty names.
Restart gracefully (this will save the devices into ZwcfgXXX.xml) and you will see the devices with proper names.
