I normally have all entities (switches) state change (On/Off) recorded by recorder. This is default behavior of the recorder, I presume.
Background:
There is an smart switch that turns on and off the light outside.
There is an automation that will repeat action (feature introduced in v0.113.x), to toggle that switch every 1 second, triggered by a motion sensor. It’s a part of DIY intrusion system.
Problem:
While manual switching is recorded by recorder (desired behaviour), it floods the record when triggered by automation and left running for, let’s say, 1 hour.
Question:
Is there a way to exclude from recorder certain entities triggered by a certain automation?
