I am new to all of this but after watching a whole bunch of youtube video’s I decided to give home assistant a try, so far so good! Except for one thing: my Bose soundbar.
I have bought a Broadlink RM Mini 3 to control my (non smart) Bose Soundbar Solo 5 TV sound system.
The broadlink RM mini3 is working fine with other devices and even for most buttons on my soundbar remote (volume up, down, mute are working) the one (most important) button which is not working is the ON/OFF button.
I tried:
- remote.learn_command

Fyi:
- the power button on the regular remote works only if I press it and keep pointing at the soundbar for around 3 seconds.
- I also tried if I could “wake’ the soundbar by using a smartplug, but that doesn’t work → soundbar stays off after the plug has been activated
