How can I get the fancy slider and color controls (not shown) for a group? I have the group setup and all bulbs in the group are rgbw, but I can’t get a nice mushroom slider for the group.

Use a Light Group instead of a Group
Settings > Integrations > Helpers > Create > Group > Light group
