I managed to create a Webpage with a Youtube video in a Lovelace, like this:
type: iframe
url: https://www.youtube.com/embed/DYgAdl2JjR4
aspect_ratio: '16:9'
Now, this is currently running within this iframe. You cannot make it bigger (it’s a Webpage (iframe) within a 1 column grid).
I would like to click on the [ ] at the bottom (this is not working on an iPad. Alternatively, I would like to click on the picture (with the arrow) and then a pop-up window opens where this video is played (fixed size, no problem).
Below, I am showing what I want. It’s probably simple, but I would like to click on the arrow area. The other Youtube areas are showing that I’ve got it working within the fixed frame…
Anyone for an advise? Thx
ich kann dir leider noch nicht ganz folgen. kannst du das mal anders erklären ?! =)
english:
Unfortunately I can’t quite follow you yet. can you explain that in a different way?
what I would like to do is the following:
- I have several YouTube video’s (instructions)
- at my screen dump you can see several ones
- as they are defined within a column grid, the video size is fixed
- when clicking on it it starts playing (but within the fixed frame)
- at the bottom you can see the symbol [ ] but this has been disabled on an iPad
- theoretically I would like to click on something so it pops up from the fixed column
- this pop-up windows contains the YouTube video in a larger format
that’s what I want, nothing very special.
I solved it for the time being by a picture card (picture-glance) with the tap action option “Navigate”. This navigates to a hidden new “View” with the Youtube in full format… which works also fine, but not as nice as a pop-up
Thanks a lot for the instructions! I guess a lot of us will find them useful! At first glance, I thought it was impossible to understand all the stuff you’ve written above. However, everything’s possible if you strive hard again and again till a positive result. While surfing the internet, I recently bumped into this review about free youtube to mp3 converter software. I will really appreciate any advice you could provide on what to choose. I’m a bit confused because it’s a damn long list, and I utterly don’t know what’s the best. Cheers!
this is a totally different topic if I’m right. It’s about how to extract the sound from a YouTube video…
Just use one of the tools, the online are the best in my opinion. Easy to achieve what you want to get!
Cheers.
