How to manually install grafana plugin in Home Assistant OS?

Hello. I have closed installation of Home Assistant Supervised (in VirtualBox). I understand I can only install grafana plugins from the list that is directly in grafana/plugins.

I would like to install plugin manually from github and istructions say " 1. Copy the contents of “Grafana_Status_panel” to the “/var/lib/grafana/plugins” folder". I think I cannot access that folder because terminal add-on in Home Assistant can only access HA environment and not that which belong to add-ons.

So how to install garafana plugin that needs to be downloaded?

I sort of figured out. If name of panel is in add-on’s config, then it is installed at next grafana restart. But to find name of panel may be tricky and may require detailed study of installation instructions. For my Status panel the config entry looks like this:

plugins:
  - vonage-status-panel
