Hi all, I have an special situation and maybe any of you already had done something like this.
I am using an LD2410 sensor with an ESP32 ESPHome based board to turn on/off the light on the room where the wash machine is.
Problem context details
This room is situated on the basement, where the distance between the floor and the ceiling is less than on the other rooms.
Just below the ceiling, the drain and water pipes are placed.
The wash machine is located at the center of the room.
The sensor is located above the wash machine.
The problem is that when the water runs on the pipes, or the wash machine is working, the sensor detects motion and or presence. Trying to control it manually using the values of the gates will not work because the distance from the sensor to the bottom of the wash machine is the same as the sensor to the front, where movement detection is needed.
I need to be able to limit the caption radius of the LD2410 like in the image below, where the green line is the current pattern, and the yellow is what I need.
Does someone have done something similar?
