Since I want to switch to the local Hass Voice Assistant I removed my manually configured Google Assistant configuration:
Unlinked the project from my Google Assistant setttings
Removed the entry from configuration.yaml
Deleted the .json service account
I couldn’t find anything else. But still get this in the logs. How do I get rid of this:
Logger: homeassistant.config_entries
Source: config_entries.py:640
First occurred: 10:54:21 (1 occurrences)
Last logged: 10:54:21
Error setting up entry hass<redacted> for google_assistant
Found it myself. It wasn’t listed on the integrations page, but when I looked for google assistant in the devices overview I found it and I could delete it.
Thank You!..
You have NO idea how long I have been looking for what caused that log error.
I found the Google Assistant device here http://homeassistant.local:8123/config/devices/dashboard
After removing it, everything just worked.
Thank You! I was also looking for this. So easy once you know…
In addition to resolving this error, I was unable to unlink my custom Google Developer Console project from the Google Home app because it just would not appear in the “Home Control” list to be unlinked. Google support was useless. I eventually pulled out an old Nexus 5X phone, installed the Google Home app (a much older version installed from the Play Store), and TA DA, it appeared in the list and I was able to unlink it successfully. Clearly a bug in the current Google Home/Google app. Hopefully this tidbit helps someone else that might run into that issue.
Thanks for sharing this. I had the same problem: project not appearing in the list to be unlinked. I don’t have an old device to do it, but at least I know I’m not alone!
