How to rename Z-Wave switch?

I’ve got several Z-Wave devices, but this is the first time that I have added one since the customize stuff went away.

The one that I added has an awful generated name switch.jasco_products_unknown_type_6363_id_3130_switch_2

I am running off of a docker image, homeassistant/home-assistant:0.95.4

I was able to change the alias via the entity registry but that doesn’t change the actual name. I tried stopping everything (even nuked the DB) and changed the name in the zwcfg_xxx.xml file to no avail.

Older posts that I found didn’t seem to help. Any tips?

You can use the entity registry to change the entity_id as well.

I had tried that but it didn’t take. I restarted the container and tried again, lo and behold it worked.
