How to set a dashboards background to pure black?

This is going to be a pretty simple one but I can’t seem to find out how to set the background colour of a dashboard to pure black. The dashboard just contains a single panel with a few cards inside.

I’m toying with the idea of using a spare FireHD tablet as a bedside display so I want to get the screen as dark as possible. I appreciate since it’s not OLED there’s always going to be a bit of background light but I think it’ll be slightly better at RGB(0,0,0) rather than the default RGB(17,17,17). I’m using the default mushroom theme. Thanks!

Have you tried changing the background colour in the theme you are using?

primary-background-color: "#000000"               #black

Switch your client device into dark mode and HA is working accordingly. :wink:

I don’t think this is the case. Setting it to dark mode and default theme is actually RGB(17,17,17) across all devices. It is “dark” but it’s not pure black, if you put some black text you’ll still be able to read it.
