How to troubleshoot missing memory

I purchased a Home Assistant Yellow and a Raspberry Pi Module with 8 GB of memory. I was able to assemble everything, install the operating system, and get the web interface working. I have a notification telling me

Available space is less than 1GB!

There is no way I’m using 7.7 GB at this point. As far as I can tell, the web interface doesn’t provide the capability to troubleshoot this issue, but I have no idea how to do it. Any help greatly appreciated!

What does Settings → System → Hardware show for memory use?

You are confusing memory (8GB RAM) and Storage space (eMMC).

What size eMMC module are you using?

Disk metrics
Used space 89.2%
eMMC Lifetime Used 10%

If you only have 8Gb eMMC, then it is not difficult to have used 89,2% disk space already.

Yeah I think the minimum recommended is 32GB.
