How to update integrations?

Hi there,

I have a basic question. How can i update integrations? I very often see updates of home assistant itself (core and the other …) but never updates for integrations.

I use the tuya integration but for one RGB-W corner light i can only control ON/OFF and not the brightness or color. I can pick the brightness or color but it has no effect. I also have wall switches that are unsupported. I hope an update of the tuya integration will fix this.

Thanks!

Core integrations are updated with HA updates. Integrations in HACS, you will see available updates in HACS.

Depends where you got the integration from…

If it’s part of HA core. You get updates when HA updates. Watch release notes.

If it’s part of HACS. Then you can see/obtain HACS integration updates there.

If you downloaded and installed an integration manually (went to github.com and pulled a copy) then it’s up to you.

The core Tuya integration comes with HA. While there’s one or more local integrations that are available in HACS. So which one.

I installed the core tuya integration that comes with HA. So i think then the integration is up to date. Will post another message specific for the problem with the tuya integration.

Thanks for the quick responses.

I am in HACS. I see a pending update for Simple Wyze Vaccum, but there is no “update” button or selection. So, how does one update an integration that was installed from HACS?

Many thanks!
