Can I simply plug the dongle into the same port used previously?
Or do I have to setup the Z2M configuration again?

It depends how you have your dongle setup in Z2M. If it’s by device ID, then should just work. If it’s by port, you’ll likely need to update it.

Hi there, i think i’ll take over this thread as it is a related issue.
I want to add a third usb Dongle to mi raspberry pi 4 because i want to use zha, z2m and the ccu stick for homamatic ip.
I bought miself a powered usb 2.0 hub, a logilink UA0085.
When i plug in said usb hub and the zha and z2m Dongle and start the system all my zigbee Devices get unavailable.
I thougt it might be the Problem that i am using the wrong configuration in zha and z2m but when i just change the two dongles in their port without the usb hub, everything works fine. That means to me that the config should be allright.
Does anyone know where to find the Solution or have any hint where i can start troubleshooting.

Adding a USB hub into the mix changes the device’s ‘address’ so that does need to be updated in each add-on. Best shot is to grab the port ID and use that in the add-on’s.
I thought about that but struggling to do so.
Without the hub it looks like this.
With the hub installed these two are gone and i can’t find them anywhere else.
I’m far from a Linux guru, but that could just be something with USB plug and play. I would try plugging the hub in with the devices attached and restart the Pi. See if they show up then.
I was hoping that it would be plug and play 
but it seemes not to be. I tried it like you said.
I tried both ports, i tried it with extension cable, i tried it without. I tried shutting ha down, plugging them in and starting, i tried restarting when plugged in. Nothing works.
Did you shut HA down or shut the Pi down? When restarting, I am talking about the “reboot system” option.
Does the hub work in another device?

The Hub doesnt work in my MS Surface too.
I’ll get another one and try again.
