Huawei LTE - Reboot option

Would be great to add a switch to reboot the router.

Seeing that there’s the option to turn on/off the guest network, the possibility to add it to the code shouldn’t be null.

I’m not sure if it’s a problem with the router itself, but it needs to be restarted every day.
Apparently the reason for it is related with how a LTE router will try to find the cell ID and the band to connect; and because of that sometimes (almost daily) it will lose the connection at some point.

The solution I have working is to have an automation turn off a smart plug where router connects every night at 4 am - and turning it back on after 10 seconds. But I’m somewhat afraid of consequences of doing that every single night…

A switch allowing it to reboot would be a great help.

Did you ever find a solution to soft re-start the Huawei router from HA?

Honestly, I can’t remember - but I think not.
Maybe there has been some firmware changes that added a schedule reboot, on the device itself?

I’ve been using a TP-Link 5G modem/router for some time now.

Hello,
for my B618s there is the “button.router_b618s_22d_restart” service in the Huawei LTE integration. I have placed a button on the dashboard and can restart the router this way.
