Hue Dimmer Double Tap and Smooth Dimming

Hello,
I have currently a Hue Dimmer in my bedroom but since i have a new Lifx Strip i want to handle it via Home Assistant. I want a first tap to enable the led strip and a second tap to enable the hue bulb but how can i do this because i can only select a long tap en a single tap.
Also is there a way to keep the light dimming while the dim button is pressed?

You can’t recognize tapping the same button multiple times with Home Assistant. What you can do is have one action for a short press of the button and one action for a long press of the same button.
For smooth dimming you need another controller like a ConBee II or some other ZigBee stick, not the original Hue hub and then you need an AppDaemon app like Controller X or my own if you choose a ConBee II.

In addition to what @Burningstone said, ControllerX also allows multiple clicks. They are handled virtually. I have this same controller with deCONZ and I have multiple clicks enabled to it.
