Hue entertainment api and Home Assistant

Hi

I want to be able to use a strobe effect for my hue lights and flash them when our alarm triggers. However, the flash effect for the light service gives a pretty tame effect. It’s hardly instant and mostly looks like brightness fading up and down.

As far as I understand it the Hue entertainment api allows for native strobe effect directly in the bulbs.

I have tested the Hue Essentials app for IOS and it has an effect called Police Lights, which can be run against an entertainment area. This allows for an agressive strobe effect like nothing achievable with the current hue integration.

So the question is if it’s possible to get Home Assistant to work with the entertainment api to allow for a native strobe effect.

Bumping this as the request is still relevant. Any ideas how to achieve this?

Perhaps point us to the api.

The api can be found here https://developers.meethue.com/develop/hue-entertainment/philips-hue-entertainment-api/

A free developer account is required to access the page.

This would be great!! Anyone interested. Think about all the possibilities.
