Hue Motion Sensor and Gen5 plus

Hi everyone,

Do I need the Hue hub to integrate a Hue motion sensor? I was under the impression that I did not, however, I have been trying to pair the sensor with a Gen5 Plus on a raspberry pi 4 and it is not working. I am using Zwave js and Z-Wave JS to MQTT.

The Hue motion sensor is a zigbee device not a zwave device, these are two different technologies. You need a zigbee coordinator such as the ConBee or the Hue hub to integrate the hue motion sensor.

Thank you for the prompt response. I feel so dumb right now. I purchased the HomeSeer HSM200 which is zwav an for some reason I thought the Hue Motion sensor was zwave as well. I never bothered to check. Thank you again.
