Hue outdoor sensor keep getting disconnected from network

Hello everyone

i’m having issue with my hue outdoor motion sensor

It keep getting disconected from my zigbee network and never get back unless i unpair and pair it again
I’m using zigbee2mqtt with the sonoff zigbee dongle

I have this model : Philips 9290019758 control via MQTT | Zigbee2MQTT

here is a screen of my network

the hue motion sensor and the “prise exterieur gauche” switch are 1 meter away from each other. I don’t understand why the hue sensor is not using the switch to connect to the network

I have automation that activate the outside light when detecting motion and it work few hours and then don’t work when the sensor get disconnected

Can somebody help me solve this problem please ?

Thx yoy

There was an issue with Hue motion sensors where they would disconnect, then try to connect as a new device. Not sure how you’d fix this with Z2M, but with ZHA the solution was to “allow unsecured rejoins”. Is there a similar setting in Z2M?

Hello

I don’t think there is a such thing in Z2M

I finally sent my two of these Hue devices to the ‘bottom drawer’ of crap products. They were POS due to this disconnect issue, especially painful at their price point. I have replaced with the newer Ikea devices and they are working well. The Ikea are not really IPxx outdoor devices, however I have them under roof eves and they are working fine thru a couple heavy rain cycles so far. At their price point, if they fail after a couple years I will still call them a win. Read up on their battery types in various blogs. They seem particular about the battery voltage. I started with the Ikea AAA rechargables based on what I read, but am now successfully using standard Duracell AAA. They are a bit on the ‘slow to respond’ side, however not outside the acceptable range. I recommend not trying the 1st generation Ikea motion sensors, they were POS. Don’t buy even if you see a ‘blow out sale’ on them at Ikea.

Good hunting!

I don’t use Z2M, but there seems to be a setting
