Using python script to process service calls when Hue remote is pressed. To do: add logic to detect double presses.
That looks pretty cool - what is the latency like between pressing a button and HASS seeing it?
I’d say about a second on average.
I think if the remotes were added to the Hue component it should be quicker as currently using rest sensor with scan_interval of 1 second
I use an mqtt solution if wanted I can post it here
Yes would be interesting to see
Give me 2 hours to take care of my baby
Did you get round to posting this?
I’d be interested to see.
Can you post today?
Missed this the first time around, got excited when it said ‘wifi connected Hue remote’ but obviously it isn’t really as it still needs a Hue hub which is the wifi connected bit.
Still great work setting it up and good news for those that already have a hub.
Hello robmarkcole!
This Solution work PERFECT for me.
Thank you very much!
I recommend this
Hello @thundergreen why do you recommend it? I am looking to change from Osram and Ikea to Hue due to all the integrations and mainly so that I can use the wireless remotes with HA. You got more information about your recommendation?
Well u mean u wanna use remotes and this is a way to use them …there are not natively supported by hass
