I have a raspi4 that I installed Home Assistant OS 2021.7.2 on. On Developer, services I do not see the humidifier services. I can’t figure out how to install the service “Humidifier - Home Assistant” Can someone please help me. I see the Note on the //Humidifier webpage that says “Not all humidifier services may be available for your platform”.
What device (brand/model) are you trying to connect to HA ? I presume you have installed HassOS on your raspberry pi so this info would help us to understand your environment…
Browet, thank you for reaching out. I have the Conbee II integration installed and have a few Aqara Temperature and humidity sensors connected that read correctly. Yes I have the HassOS on the raspi 4.
Browet, Under Configuration, under “Set up a new integration” when I type in humidifier it says no integrations matched. More are available at Home Assistant Website. When I go to that website it shows the blue iconed “Humidifier”. That then goes to the //Humidifier and says “Services”. I just can’t figure out how to install them services.
Taras, My intent was to use the Aqara humidity sensor to turn on an Aqara AC outlet that was connected to a humidifier. If you type humidifier your get this icon I thought you had to install this somehow? Or is it simply that you have to put the YAML code into the actions when your doing an automation?
Taras, that blue icon is shown under the Configuration “Add integration” typing in "humidifier and then going to the “More Available on the Home Assistant Website”. //Integrations. If I select that it takes me to this URL: Humidifier - Home Assistant (home-assistant.io)
Taras, I will try your way. I am totally new to home assistant. I was trying to setup the humidifier as in this youtube: DIY Smart Humidifier with HomeAssistant and a RuuviTag sensor - YouTube however I will try what you have advised and probably learn a lot. I’ll let you know if I figure it out. Many thanks.
Taras, I got the humidifier to work as I want it to. I’d like to thank you for your help.
I ended up using the example on youtube by Nerdaxic. I’ll try yours sometime when I become more
familiar with Home Assistant. Your help kept me from going down an impossible path.
I just duplicated the YAML from the youtube video.
