My HA PowerView integration does not reliably control my devices compared to the PowerView app.
It’s my understanding that both the app and integration send commands to the PowerView hub, which then sends commands to the devices. So an “open” command might change a blinds tilt position, then open the blinds. This should happen for both the App and integration alike. Likewise the HR remotes (little egg shaped wheels with buttons) also send commands to the PowerView hub. Is my understanding correct?
However if I issue an “open” with the App or remote, the device opens properly and reliably. Sending commands with HA with the integration almost never. Do you know how to overcome this so I can start using the integration in automations?
I have the Powerview integration running in HA, controlling 21 Hunter Douglas (Luxaflex) Duette screens.
The integration does not control the screens directly, it all goes through the Powerview hub. But the integration should auto discover all individual screens, and should discover all scenes you have created in the hub.
Then with automations and with tile cards, I can control the screens.
I mainly use automations in HA to activate powerview scenes, and I use tile cards to control the individual screens manually.
Note, the “pebbles” do not interact with the powerview hub, those control the screens directly, which is good, because even when the hub is down for whatever reason, you still can control the screens manualy
