Hx711 scale on a Nordic nrf52480 chip (Seeed Xiao)

I’m attempting to set up a battery powered scales for my bee hives.

I’ve successfully made a prototype based on ESP32-C6 which will probably be fine, but as the nrf52 should have even lower power consumption, I’m trying to get that to work.

Unfortunately I’m not able to get a reading using nrf52, either nothing or -1. “Claude” assisted me in debugging, but nothing works.

Anyone got this combination to work? I’m using cheap HX711 modules from “GERUI” and was considering if a more premium board may do better..

So you are using nrf52 on esphome and hx711 component with it? I’m surprised if it even compiles, nrf52 support on all esphome components is generally “unknown”.

Anyway, in both cases, esp32/nrf52 you would benefit from Sparkfun module. Afaik it’s the only module around that has separate VCC and VDD pins and thereon compatible with 3.3V microcontrollers while powering the load cell correctly at 5V VCC.
