Last week I have deployed the vhdx image to my hyper-v stack. So far, so good and I am making great progress in learning and setting up all the integrations I want. This is finally the tool I have been looking for, allowing me to integrate everything on one stack.
One of the next items is USB. I already have USB-Redirector for several other items (including scanners and an aeotec stick to upgrade my z-wave devices) so my preference would be to go this route for adding native z-wave and a few other USB related items.
Unfortunately, so far I have not managed to get USB-Redirector to install on the vhdx image with Hass.io. I mostly get error messages “bad interpreter” and so …
Not sure if anyone has successfully installed USB-redirector in Hass.io and may be able to share some more detailed steps than I could find here.
My other choice is to move everything to a new CentOS instance (I know CentOS better than Debian).
Would a more mainstream Linux distribution a better choice? Given that everything runs in Docker, it should be possible.
