HyperPixel touch display

Pimoroni just release another HyperPixel display, this time with a square form factor. I think this could be ideal for an alarm touch panel or similar. Anyone tried the HyperPixel with HA in any projects?

Looks great, Pimoroni will have me broke

Also looks like it could be made to fit in a UK wall socket with a 3D printed bezel.

Bought one. I haven’t played around with it yet, but it fits perfectly inside the frame from an old LightwaveRF wireless switch. It would be simple to 3D print something similar.

The frame and the display could sit on the wall surface with a Pi Zero and a 220V to 5V transformer in the back box. (Don’t know if that would fall foul of building regs.)

I see @MarcJennings has made use of one of these already

I did, but please note that I abandoned the code due to it being… sub-optimal? I left it on GitHub in case anyone else wanted to make it work. I moved to an esp32 with an oled display since I didn’t actually need touch either.
