Hi.
Just to check with the folks here. I am a total newbie. Realised that I bought a model B instead of B+.
Can i still use the same setup procedure as I am not able to assess my hassio local through the browser.
Even after connecting to the ethernet and waiting for the required 20 mins

Don’t use Hassio.local. Find the actual ip of the pi and use that.
A pi 3 b+ should be ok with any of the current install methods. Which one doc you use?

Hi,
Thanks for helping out. I just hope its not the Model B thats causing the problems
I used
Raspberry Pi 3 Model B and B+ 32bit
I am not too sure whether its possible to use or not…and btw how do I check the IP address of the Pi?
I have it attached to one of the ethernet lan ports of my router

Your router will have a list of clients. Or use fing on an Android device.

Yes. The + is better specced but the plain 3 will be fine.

Thanks. At least it won’t be a white elephant for now. What should I do now?
Attempt to reflash the sdcard and start all over?
