I have a lot of not used entities in HA e.q. not used Aqara sensors. It is a bunch of data and very messy. I want to get rid of it to have a nice and clear HA.
I try and disable the entities I donât care about
That doesnât really describe what you mean very well.
when you say ânot used entitiesâ do you mean entities included by the integration associated with a device that you use other entities out of?
Or do you mean orphaned entities that are no longer associated with any device or integration?
if itâs the first then as noted you just need tgo disable the unused entities.
if itâs the second then you should be able to delete them from the dev tools states page or you may need to find where they are in your yaml and delete them there.
Spook will bulk delete orphaned entities.
Could you please add some details to your reply? I have an entity called âswitch.the_living_room_lightsâ which duplicates what âswitch.tv_lightsâ does. I want to delete âswitch.the_living_room_lightsâ but the delete button is always grayed out. Spook does not allow me to delete this entity.
When I disable the entities I get this ugly brown bar telling me they are no longer available.
You mean like this?
You should be able to click on the cogwheel to get settings, then on âDeleteâ bottom left.
I just needed to do this,
this is 3 clicks per entity, for 20 entities,
60 clicks, one minute or something.
but itâs not ideal.
