I have some fan controllers added to home Assistant but Alexa can't see them

I have several of these installed and set up on Home assistant:

They show in Home Assistant and they connect securely. But the Alexa integration does not synchronize them and I can’t control these devices with Alexa. How would I fix this?

Assuming you’re using the default Alexa integration go to:
Config > Home Assistant Cloud > Alexa > Manage Entities

In the resulting box (list of all your ‘stuff’) look at the top right and click ‘manage domains’
Scroll down until you see Fan, and ensure the toggle is ON. (That allows the integration to publish Fans to Alexa - if it’s off that’s why it didn’t work)
Next back out one level and find your fan in either the top or bottom list. If it’s in the bottom list - enable it.
Next back out one more level, now click on Sync Entities to Amazon.

Does it work now?

I checked that first, they are enabled in the Sync Entities

This is an example

and in Alexa - did you run a discovery and do they show up on the Alexa side?

yes, and everything other than these devices sync. I think they are categorized incorrectly. I have 60+ other devices syncing.

How are you trying to control them using Alexa? what words are you saying to get them to change?

what is the response from Alexa?

Yes, I am trying to control them with Alexa. The response is depending on if Alexa thinks the name you spoke is similar enough to another device.

But if you look at the devices in the Alexa app though, all of the devices from Home Assistant show there except these particular fan dimmers.

Ah, sorry I misunderstood the “synchronize” part.

you might need to submit an issue for that.

what does the exposed entity show for its platform (eg. Game Room Fan Power, Range, Alexa)
and what’s the domain of the entity (eg. fan.kitchen)?
