I lost my password and cant get to the auth files

Hi all.

I run a Hyper VM (got the vhdx file from the official site)
I lost the password (dammit) and i can read that i just need to delte the auth files.

But i cant smb to the vm. But i have console but when i login as root i only get into the supervisor container and cant do mutch.
I tryed following this

But what can i do? Just start over :frowning: ?

Delete the following files from the hidden .storage/ folder in your configuration folder:

  • auth
  • auth_provider.homeassistant
  • onboarding
  • hassio
  • cloud

You should then be asked to set up a new user when logging in from the web interface.

I dont know how to access the. /storage folder.

While in the configuration folder:

to show all folders and files, ls -la
to change to the .storage location, cd /config/.storage

My brother is a linux man. Last time we spoked you and I, I was logged in the console (hyper-v) with the root user (i think) so we manged to get into the config folder and delte the auth files in .storage. But i cant remember how i managed to get into the HA console with #
