I need To redownload HACS custom dashboard integrations

Hello,

since the new Version 2.0 of HACS every time that I updating the HA core version
I need to redownload all custom dashboard integrations otherwise I’m getting "custom elements doesn’t exist " for all the different cards that I have .

Clear your browser cache completely for all HA related URLs!

how can I do that?

It is a browser thing, so that depends on what browser you use.
It has nothing to do with HA as such.

I have the same issue here. I have cleared browser cache after restart, tried different PC’s, different browsers same issue. Once I redownload them as they still show up as downloaded in HACS everything is fine. Im suspecting its a plugin I am using. I am standing up a dev env to test each plugin to see if I can narrow it down.

I had the same issue and the release notes clearly states that you need to clear the cache completely for all HA related URLs.
If you can not do it for HA URLs specifically, then you will have to clear it for all sites.

JUST FORCE REFRESHING THE BROWSER WILL NOT WORK!

I have cleared the cache from the iOS app and There’s no change I’m still need to redownload :unamused:

No idea what and if frontend cache is and if it is enough.

So far I can reproduce the issue on 2 installs, Here are the plugins I am using

HACS
mini-graph-card
auto-entities
card-mod
layout-card
Weather Card
WallPanel
Bar Card
Kiosk Mode
Clock Weather Card
Hourly Weather Card
Stack In Card
Restriction Card
UniFi Gateway
Daikin Skyport
Your Name.
Kwikset Smart Locks
Unifi Counter Sensor
Simple Sticky Note

I am slowly testing 1x1 to see if any one is the issue, if not then I will strip configuation of templates and sensors
My lovelace dashboards will be next

Oh, please note I only run HA Core in docker.

Your HACS should look like this.

If it does not then your cache is not cleared.

Sorry for late reply, my havs does look like that. Even after restart. I have to click 3 dots and redownload esch card and then reload.

Clear The cache complitly from the mobile companion app and then restart HA.

I have suddenly the same problem here.
Until 1 hour ago, everything went fine, i opened Home Assistant after restarting my computer to turn off my 3D Printer, and everything was “gone”.

Even with another browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox), clearing all cookies and cache, and testing in incognito mode, all custom components are not available.

Also reinstalling HACS didn’t help. HACS discovers the old integrations, and they are also shown in the HACS Panel, but none of them are shown in my Dashboards. Only the “Custom element doesn’t exist: ” error. The custom icons like “Custom brand icons” or “fontawesome” are also gone.

After redownloading the custom components are shown again. But the behaviour is pretty random here, because some custom components work normally, and others are “bricked”

Very exciting when you only wanted to turn off the 3D Printer, but then discovered that you won a free night shift, fixing all HACS Components

Clear the browser cache completely before trying to fix anything else.
A force refresh did not work for me.
A clearing of that particular site did not work for me.
Incognito mode did not work for me.
But clearing the browser cache completely did.

I tried to fight it in other ways too, like by reinstalling the integrations, but that just meant that when the browser cache was cleared, then I had to redo that, because my “repairs” was faulty then.

This is not a good thing, I am developing and do many restarts on my dev environment and I have to re-download all custom dashboard plugins each time. there has to be a better way than clearing cache and re-downloads

I can not see another way.
If you are doing development then I suggest you disable cache on your browser anyway and that is half the solution.
The next time you redownload integrations should then be the last.
