I propose people stopped using Reddit for anything "Home Assistant"

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I tried to make some comments and answer some questions about the new " Voice Preview Edition" and only one appeared in the thread. So I can’t be exactly “blocked” for some reason; I see no pattern.
While I admit I’m no big redditor, it’s annoying to spend the time to write something only for it to disappear without warning or explanation.
Not to mention we already have this forum.
Why have multiple sources to search for information that could and should be in one place?

Because people are different. Some like Reddit, some like Discus Forums and some like Discord.

We don’t talk about the some that like Facebook.

Thank you @tom_l for moving it to the right place; I think you’re right about that

I think I gave a good reason for my proposal. In fact two good reasons.
I’m not suggesting we force anybody; just maybe nudge.
This reddit thing is like a teener deciding what to show or not based on obtuse criteria. It should be spanked (since it’s not human spanking should be allowed) until it becomes transparent and nice!

Also if you DM me your reddit username I can ask the mods there to look into why your posts may have been removed.

I have chosen to use Reddit as little as possible. It’s OK if they happen to have some (typically older) content that pertains to my Internet search. But after they signed the contract with Google, where ONLY Google will be able to index new content from the contract date forward, Reddit’s content value to me dropped considerably, since I often use a non-Google search engine. And of course I won’t contribute any new content under those circumstances.

I’d be happy to be proven wrong, but that’s my understanding.
