I added a USB data dongle to my home assistant green device and went to settings/network storage and move data disk. I thought I was adding more capacity so I could store backups on a removable device but today when I removed my dongle my system would not boot back up and go online unless I replaced the dongle. Id like to free up that USP port for a zigbee usb device. does anyone know why my system wont boot up without the usb dongle inserted?

The system most likely moved your existing data to the external data disk automatically. Did you create backup stored on a seperate device or accesible location outside HA?
Did you format or alter the USB dongle data that was removed from the Green device?
