When I open up HA, it says 7 new devices found. Some actually say what they are, but sever don’t they just have a QR code and a number to add to HomeKit. How do I know what these are?
Also, I am getting codes to add to home kit that are already in home kit as well as HA (LG Tv) any idea why that’s happening?
Generally the QR code will have with it the HA HomeKit server it’s trying to publish so you know. My guess is that those are from other HomeKit ready devices that HA doesn’t yet know about.
In my experience, the only time I get those QR codes is if no client has connected to the server the QR code is advertising. If I remove a bridge from my HomeKit I’ll get that QR code because it knows no home is using it.
So is. It asking me to add them to HA or HomeKit? Some of them are already in home kit. I suspect one or two might be my hubitat hub which is already in HomeKit as well. Thanks!
If I were to guess. would say it wants you to add them to your home in HomeKit. Or maybe it’s a Hubitat glitch, I have never used it so i cannot say. I would try scanning it into your HomeKit home or even create a test home to scan them into to see what happens, you can always remove them and Home Assistant will bring up the QR codes again when you do.
