Icloud tracking configuration fails - "failed to call service configurator/configure"

I enable icloud using this in the configuration.yaml

device_tracker:

  • platform: icloud
    username: USERNAME
    password: PASSWORD
    account_name: accountname

  • check the config, restart ha.

  • I get a notification on my iphone to allow ha, and it gives me a verification code

  • In ha I get a notification to configure icloud with the verification code I just got on my phone. It says:

Please choose your trusted device by entering the index from this list: 0: SMS to **81;

I don’t know what that “list: 0:” means, but I enter the code I got on my iphone, in to the ha prompt and click confirm.
and then I get a message on the bottom left of the screen saying “failed to call service configurator/configure”

Keep in mind, I am logged in to icloud and find my iphone on my iphone.
What I’m I doing wrong here?

same problem

Same for me. Any progress on this one?

Hey guys! Found this solution here in the forum and it works;

Basically, once you restart Ha the first time, you will get the popup on your phone to allow, click ok and then you phone will give you a code, disregard the code.

Next go to Ha, click the Ha icloud configure and put in 0 and submit ( the number Zero or Zed )

You’ll then get a txt message on your phone with a code, ( or a call with a code) , use that code and input it in the Ha icloud configure that should now be asking for a code.

I just went with life360.
Recommended by DrZzs, working on iOS and Android, and works like a charm.

Having this same issue. When I enter “0” I get the same error.
