I’m running it on my system now and it’s looking pretty good. And today, I think I finished up the configuration piece of entering the 6-digit verification code. I want to Check out one more thing (hardware keys like Yubico) before releasing it on the developers repo. I world expect to do as beta release in October.

How can iCloud V3 be installed into a container based HA installation?
Searching vor „iCloud3“ as described in the documentation doesn’t give a result.

I’ve just started to use icloud3 because the HA mobile app does not send me any info anymore for 3 of my family members.it’s been like this for a month or 2 now. I can’t figure out why. Anyway. When I add my family’s device and associate them to the HA mobile they have on their phone then it icloud3 seems to grab their HA mobile app location but I don’t want that since it’s always wrong. So when I do not associate HA to their iCloud device then I do get their correct location but none of the zones exist anymore. I just get not_home. Is there a work around to this?

iCloud3 uses zone enter/exit triggers to move a device not or out of a zone. If the app is not installed, you will not get those triggers. Then, iCloud3 will move the device into or out of the zone on the next locate.

You can do two things to help this be more responsive:

Set the device to a short inzone interval (15 mins). Then a locate will be done every 15 mins when you are in a zone and the zone exit will be done more often.
Set up another add on to notify you when you connect to or disconnect from a network and use that as a trigger to run an automation that will locate the device immediately. See the iCloud3 docs, Service Calls chapter for info on the Action Locate service call. Use a delay timer to make sure it fires after connecting after a time period to mininize random disconnects. But the worse thing that will happen is just a few more locate requests will be done.

I like icloud3 very much, but I am still not getting travel time from waze, I got this error message.

Is there a way to set this to Europe, as it seems its looking in US maps.

@MartinG See Configure Settings > Waze Rout Server screen. Change Waze Region to Rest of the World

Thanks, it was well hidden in the menu.
I have changed that and since then all sensors are reporting unavailable, I waited for 1h, no change, I restarted iCloud3, I restarted HA and I still see this:

Any idea why?

@MartinG HA probably changed the sensor entity name you are using to display the info by adding a suffix to it (_2). You can change the entity name back on the Settings > Devices & services > Entities

You are correct. Its really annoying since there is a ton of these sensros for all my tracked phones. Why did this happen and how to prevent it from happening again?

@MartinG I have no idea why HA does this, and yes, it is annoying. It has happened to me to. Fortunately is rarely happens. You might ask some of the HA guys since they are the ones rename them.

My device is shown 4600 miles from HOME when it is actually home. The GPS of the device is correct. How does HOME’s GPS location get set?

@bocvadano The Home GPS is set by HA and stored in config/.storage/core.config. When iCloud3 starts, it gets the location from HA. Restart HA and see if it is corrected

Hi guys, is it normal that I get 2-3 emails from Apple every day that my ID was used via a browser?

Can I somehow disable this in icloud3 v3?

Hi All,

Im using the great tool for a long time. Now I have a new Ultra2 watch. Im lost how to add this watch as new device to the integration.

ICLOUD3 DEVICES ᐳ •Add, Change and Delete tracked and monitored devices

Here I don’t see the watch listed. Only the 2 iPhones of me and my partner.

Can someone help me ?

Hello, I am sorry I could read this entire post as this is so long … ;-(
My 2 childs passed from Android to Apple and the HA companion app on Iphone is not making as regular position updates on the position tracker than on the Android.

I was recommended to use the Icloud3 integration - I downloaded it, but I see it is asking for the Icloud credential … where I actually have 2 as both of my childs have an apple account.

Is Icloud 3 supporting multiple Apple Icloud credentials ?

… I also see something related to the mobile app … do I need to install something on the Iphone as well in place of the Companion app ?
