Ideas to automate this hardware switch?

im looking for ideas to automate this kind of on or switch.
it is used for garden watering (reticulation)

i was looking for switchbot, but i dont think any of them will work.

suggestion please. thanks

Can you integrate this with home assistant?
Silly me. probably not.
Yes you can use switchbot robot to push button.

but probably i need to switch bot to turn ON and the other one for OFF

Yes. I use switch bots for turning dishwasher and washing machine on.
Maybe you can use some smart relay switch to turn it on/off.
Switch bots usually work on bluetooth, I didn’t saw that some is using some other protocol. So you will need a bluetooth adapter that work with home assistant.
Or gateway that can be integrated to home assistant to manage bluetooth devices.

How many Amperes can this switch handle?

Looks like an Aussie device. Best to check the Australia - Electrically Certified Hardware - #4206 by dexstar thread.

I really dont know unfortunately, i cant see any markings.
if changing to some kind of shelly relay, i have to get electrician to do it, which is costly here in australia.
i need some kind of button pusher it seems, the only one that comes to mind is switchbot bot

yes it is aussie, i dont intend to touch or modify any of it. i value my life

That would be my recommended way. The switch is anyway a bit dated, as I see on the pic and replacing it would not hurt the installation.
As far as I know this kind of switches, they need quiet a lot of force to push the buttons. So a SwitchBot would have to work hard to push it. Even if it gets it done, it will probably drain the battery as I do a glass of beer.
I would doubt the reliability of such solution.

So my advice? Give you self a gift, and the local electrician a job. Get a nice smart switch

it’s an avenue that i havent explore yet. not sure how much it will cost, but yes happy to support local electrician if there’s no any other solution
and yes as you said, it’s an older type and it’s a bit hard to press.

i found some markings on the side of it.
It’s a manual direct on line A.C motor starter
Type TPM 16
7.5 KW / 10 HP MAX AC3
415 440 50 Hz

So the cheapest and still reliable way to replace this would be any non-smart 3 phase contactor 3x400V 16A, operated by a single phase smart switch. Any smart switch can do that.

This would be the wiring. Some motors works with three wires only, without the blue neutral. If yours misses that, no problem. The electrician would know… It should not take more, that two hours of work.

THank you for taking your time replying to my message. I will check with the local electrician.
Cheers!
