Iframe state card Problem

Hi!

I’m trying to make a iframe state card in order to implement https://www.livemap24.com on the first page of HA.

So I followed this instructions:

GitHub - covrig/homeassistant-iframe-card: A simple custom Iframe state card for Home Assistant

but unfortunately it doesn’t work…

In my first attempt I used the same YouTube link as the author of the guide but I only ended up with a white empty card… I then tried my own url but ended up withe the same result.

I have a feeling that it has something to do with the downloaded file to the www folder but I can’t figure out what’s wrong.

Are you running ha over ssl? If so iframes also need to be ssl, ie using https.

No I’m not able to access HA outside my network

OK I was confusing the panel_iframe, which it does work with. I suggest asking on the github issues section.

Okej so i woke up this morning and started configure some outhere stuff, and when i restarted HA i realize that my Iframe from the day before workt perfectly on my computer- and my phone, but not on my Ipad or the old nexus 7 tablet (the one i had in mind to wall-mount which is the reason i want the Iframe).

On the Nexus 7, it’s no problem to load youtube or the weather page deskribed in the guide but when I tries to add www.livemap24.com it’s only shows a spining gearwheel and one button from the webpage.

on the Ipad I only get the white empty card described above

By the way thanks for introducing me to livemap. Very cool.

It does seem to take ages to load. How long are you waiting?

Yeah, I think you can do some realy cool stuff with it

Maybe the page is too heavy for my Nexus gen1 to handle. Chrome crashes if you try to do something and don’t wait like 10 minutes for the result :stuck_out_tongue:

it’s weird that my ipad can’t handle it , but that might be due some apple restrictions or so maybe.

I was surprised it works in my home town, Christchurch NZ.
