Hello!
I would like to launch a light by using google assistant voice command and home assistant. I configure it like this in screen. In configure.yaml I added a ifttt line with my key. It is not working. How to fix it? I can avodi it by webhooks to tasmota, but i dont think it is proper way to do it.
why use IFTTT at all?
You can connect Google Assistant to your HA and do it without a “middle-man”…
Because IFTTT is free and worked like a charm for the last two years
I get that but so is Google Assistant. It’s just that by experience the more complex the solution the more chances of it breaking and the more difficult it will be to troubleshoot
Anyway this is how I use ifttt triggers in my setup. Check the bottom 2 automations:

So is Google Assistant non-cloud manual integration. Did you actually read the docs?
Not goog enough apparantly. You’re absolutely right. Looks like a pretty complex setup but it seems worth it to cut out the middle-man indeed like @lolouk44 mentioned.
It’s actually really easy although it can look intimidating. Just follow it one step at a time. It works great.
Just setup succesfully, that was easier then I thought indeed. Working great
It is a problem for me, because i am from poland and google assistant dont work corectly. Only a few commands works thats why i need to use iftt GA is easy to setup, thats true.
Well hope that what I provided helps.
Not sure what the limitations are in Poland but with the Google assistant app you can create routines where you select what you say and you then tell Google what it should do. Fox example when I say goodnight it switches off everything…
It is not avalaible too, but changing languagues to eng for setting routlines works well. So partailly working. I hope they will launch it soon
I live in the Netherlands but also use my Google Home’s in English. Its available in Dutch but Í find it way more usable in English at the moment.
