I having a poor performance using my Conbee 2 stick as gateway for my Ikea Fyrtur roller blinds.
Currently I have 10 of those roller blinds. Together with my Ikea wall plug (router) they seem to form a good zigbee network (curtains marked in red):
But when I try to open/close them from my HA interface, they seem to have a mind of their own: some don’t react, others start to go down/up but suddenly stop halfway, …
Their current position feedback is not accurate as well: in HA/phoscon they can appear to be open, but in reality their closed (or the other way around).
Anybody having similar issues or ideas?
Is there a way to see the messages send/received by the Conbee stick?
Yeah, I’ve had similar issues, mostly that the blinds take 5-30s to respond to a command, making the stop button… well… kinda pointless.
Sometimes they would just drop out and not work at all.
If you pull up the Deconz github repo you can take a look at the related issues with those blinds, when you dig through the hundreds of comments you can find something that might improve your situation.
But even after linking nodes etc. it just didn’t work for me, even though they showed up perfectly on the UI and the box has a nice zigbee logo on it.
I’m just using their gateway now. The blinds now respond immediately and I had 0 disconnects for months now.
Only three problems with this setup:
Updating firmware and setting up new devices requires their proprietary app, this is a one time thing though
Disconnecting the gateway from LAN / restarting it requires a Home Assistant restart as well, seems like it can’t reconnect
The blinds update their state immediately, so when you send the “close” command for example, you can see the slider moving. Sadly they don’t have an “opening” or “closing” state, so if you need that for automations, you need to play around a bit with templates.
