Problem
I have 6 x IKEA GU10 bulbs in a ZHA group connected directly to the coordinator tha take several minutes to respond. If I restart Home Assistant, the bulbs respond immediately. However, after several hours, the delay returns. I timed the response this morning and it was 5 minutes before the lights responded to changes. I’m testing by either using the toggle on the ZHA group itself or the individual bulbs in ZHA (to rule out automations, controlling devices etc).
Troubleshooting / Notes:
-
The other devices in the dining room work instantly, it appears to be just these bulbs affected. The other devices are Aqara battery operated devices such as door sensors.
-
I ensured my WiFi channels were not overlapping with the Zigbee channel (15) by setting to 6 and 11 only.
-
The coordinator is approximately 5 feet from the 1st bulb. It’s in the middle of the house on a shielded extension into a USB2 port.
-
Rebooting HA fixes the issue for a few hours.
-
Turning the physical switch off then on, even for 10 seconds does not fix the issue. Leaving off for an extended period of time does resolve the issue (eg. an hour)
-
I have removed the bulbs from the recess to ensure a better signal (no change to the problem)
