I bought a couple of the new Parasoll sensors. Unfortunately I am unable to pair them with my Conbee II stick. Please note I have several other devices (temp sensors, lights etc.) that are running fine with the same stick, so I know that it works.
What I have tried:
In Phoscon go to Sensors - add new. Select ‘other’.
Pressing the pair button on Parasoll 4 times quickly to initiate pairing. Red light start pulsing/flashing.
From here, devices usually start pairing, but the Parasoll somehow refuses to pair.
Do I need to do anything special to get these new IKEA devices to pair with the Conbee stick, using Deconz?
Hi,
i have exactly the same issue. Bought 4 Parasoll sensors to add to HASSOS, but the Conbee II stick does not recognize them. When pairing, no new device is detected through Phoscon.
I already have like 20 sensors from different brands, all work well. Just not the Parasoll’s.
Addition 1) Just discovered the possible issue; i need to update my Conbee II stick. The Parasoll sensor is only supported with newer firmware. Trying to update
Addition 2) I found out that on the Conbee 2 stick, the latest -firmware- update is 2.22.02 from May 2022. And the Deconz software has the same version.
For the Parasoll sensor to work, the Deconz software needs to be higher.
It seems that the same firmware and software name and or version causes confusion. I am now looking how to update the Deconz software. I could update the software on Win11 to 24, but so far no clue how to do that in HassOS
But the good news, in some sort of way, it should be possible i guess
hmm, seems a little crappy that deconz are not updating conbeeII for this… Would you go with skyconnect or sonoff zigbee stick? And is it possible to migrate all devices without to much hassle?
I use a USB Conbee II, and had problems with getting the IKEA Parasoll to connect.
However, after I figured out what was wrong, this is how I solved it.
I start the scanning from my Conbee 2.
I put the PARASOLL upon the usb dongle, physically touching it.
I press 4 times on the button on the back
It then takes up to 1 minute to complete the process.
It turned out the PARASOLL could not be even 2 inches (5 cm) from the scanner then I had huge issues with it being interviewed etc.
The batteries are fresh and all.
After I put the devices on the usb dongle, then they were found in just a few seconds, and within 1 minute or so it was ready to use. Now They are 10-15 meters from the conbee 2 and still work without a hitch.
Just to second the previous @oddbeck post, I had the same problem pairing the PARASOLL with a Conbee 2 + Phoscon.
The proposed solution worked like a charm. For some reason, you need to hold the PARASOLL very close (touching) the Conbee dongle during the pairing process.
