Ikea Zigbee Signal Repeater

I am honestly not sure. I have just used default config on MQTT - I did reset the IKEAs a few times. The other devices randomly roam around. Some devices which should connect from the same floor, connect to a different repeater - go figure?

I have 4 of the ikea plugs throughout my house and they work great as repeaters. The only thing I did before I hit the button in HA to search for new devices is use the end of a paperclip to press and hold the reset button for around 3 seconds. Then start the pairing processes in HA. I have a few Tradfri bulbs as well which also work well. I have a test machine with a Conbee II Zigbee stick which I use to update the firmware on the ikea devices but the process I described above is the same. My actual HA uses a HUSBZB-1 Zigbee/Zwave stick and again they pair with no issues

Hope this helps

Anyone know which is the latest version of EmberZNet FW for IKEA Trådfri Signal Repeater E1746?

That is, what version of EmberZNet is the latest official OTA update from IKEA for E1746 is based on?

Apparently, there is a critical bug in all previous versions before EmberZNet 6.7.7.0 (EmberZNet bug ID 481964) which was fixed in 6.7.7 SDK release from Silicon Labs.

Wondering if IKEA has or will release a newer firmware for IKEA Trådfri Signal Repeater based on it?

More information here:

Can anyone tell me what the latest firmware even is? I have OTAs enabled and see two different firmwares for mine.

0x22005631
0x20019623

edit: I was able to force a manual update. Looks like its 0x22005631. That sucks because these things crash on my all the time.

Is there at least a way to somehow detect when these devices go offline? They don’t create an entity…

Anyone know how to detect when these go offline?

My ikea repeater is listed as device and sends updates for signal and firmware updates every 4 hours.

I’m using zigbee2mqtt with the mqtt integration and auto discovery.
No update for 4 hours and time to check it your repeater

oh! While I’m not using MQTT, I see that you’re still sorta right for the default zigbee. While it doesn’t create an entity, it DOES create a device. I think I can just use that!

Anybody knows if i can use it to turn on/off a usb led strip using this? i don’t have a much need for a zigbee repeater.

If you mean by switching the USB port on/off: no, you can’t.
